Weeks of 1/22, 1/29:
Hello, hope you are all doing well. This time of the year can be challenging as the sicknesses creep in. I can vouch for that. Anyway, students are finishing their work on WWI and they will soon be the teachers next week. They will be briefly teaching the class about the topic they've selected through a PowerPoint presentation. We've worked in the lab several days and students will have Monday (1/29) as well to finish up their slide show. If students have a key drive they can bring it to save their project on, otherwise I will take care of it.
The next topic we'll be studying is the Decades of the 1900's. Students will be grouped and they will select a decade from the 1920's-80's. Each group member will be responsible for one of the 4 subjects in the project (Personalities, Fads, Misc, Events). They will be using research tools at school in the library and on the computer. They will be able to access most of the computer resources at home if you have access to the internet. Just about all of the work should be done in class, however. More information will be coming!!!
