Other Important Info:
     Before Participating:

- All athletes must have 1) a signed permission sheet, 2) qualifying sports physical on file
with our school nurse, and 3) fees turned into the main office.  Athletes will not be allowed
to compete until all three part of the application are turned in.

     Practices:

- Our first practice will be held on Wednesday, Sept 3rd.
         - Practices will begin after school and be completed by 4:45 PM.
         - After our first practice, practices will be held every M, T, Th, & Fri unless noted otherwise.

     Busses:
         - Athletes will need to arrange their own transportation home after practices.
         - Bus transportation will be provided both to the school holding the competition and
will return athletes to John Glenn. Parents will need to pick up their children as soon as
they are able on these days (students will have access to a phone when they return).

      Required Equipment:

- Athletes are required to purchase mouthguard (with helmet-strap attached) and a protective
cup and supporter.  Mouthguards will be available at Open House or during the first week of
the season (at a cost of $1).

         - Athletes are also strongly encouraged to purchase a football shoe or cleat to improve
performance and reduce the risk of injury.

- Athletes should also wear athletic, comfortable clothing that conforms to our school
dress policies.  Students coming to practice unprepared or wearing inappropriate clothing
           may lose playing time.
         - Athletes will receive a helmet, shoulderpads, pants (w/ pads), practice jersey, game jersey,
and belt.  Students will check out these items during the first weeks of practice and are
responsible for returning them at the end of the season.
