John Glenn ADD/ADHD Support Group
We invite parents and other adults involved in the lives of children who are diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder to come to our meetings and gain support, information and education through group discussion, guest lectures and sharing.
This group meets on the first Monday of the month, October through April, at the District Education Center at 2520 East 12th Avenue in North St. Paul, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. No registration is necessary for adults and there is no fee. This group is open to any interested adult. Please enter through the doors at the west end of the building. They face St. Mark's Church. Look for our signs.
Limited childcare is available at a cost of $2.00 per child, per meeting. Pre-registration for childcare is required at least one week in advance. Call 651-748-7280 to register for childcare.
PBS Website on Learning Differences: PBS did a program on learning differences including such things as ADHD and learning disabilities. They also created a website with more in depth information on these topics. Go to: www.pbs.org/misunderstoodminds Another great website is ChADD of the Twin Cities. The local chapter of ChADD website is full of information on the speakers they have had, up to date information on ADHD and links to other useful sites. Go to: www.gtd.org/images/Prompt.htm
You do not need to live in District 622 to attend this group. |
